Booting into Windows immediately fixes this and it stays working as long as I reset into Linux and don't unplug that cable. Yesterday I spent about 3 hours meticulously testing this.Īnytime I unplug the cable from my Elitebook 840 G8 to the HP Thunderbolt Dock G2, it loses the ability to charge from the dock when the cable is re-plugged. In my case, this trick (B) allows me to charge the laptop without to have to reboot to Windows before rebooting to LinuxI'll try this soon when I've got a break in work to explore it. => To my surprise, the laptop is charging again, do you have the same ? ![]() => if I understand correctly, the laptop is not charging, and this is the very reason of this threadī )1) Let the dock usb-C plugged to the laptopĢ) Remove the power cable of the dock and put it back.
